Real-life Parallels:
  • Remember Ceilia's other daughter, Quinn? In the first season, Ceilia sent her off to a private lock-down school for troubled teens called Casa Reforma. Casa Reforma just might be based on a troubled private lock down called Casa By the Sea that got shut down by the Mexican government in 2004. I can tell you that the writers and directors of Weeds have done a splendid job of portraying a typical program parent in Ceilia. 2 1/2 years later I guess we'll get a little glimpse of how much they really know about this interesting little side-line. Bravo! Thanks for weaving this in.

What was up with that scene with him jacking off with his head in a noose? At first i thought he might be suicidal, then the "mood" changed to upbeat, so now i'm a little confused.

armybear My mother was a drug dealer, and my father was a biker 2 Oct 13 2008, 7:52 PM EDT by armybear

There are some things about "Weeds" that to me are right on the money about the drug dealing, and some that is not so real. Sometimes this show makes Nancy look stupid, sorry to say. I like her , she doesn't do the writing for the show. I think with the childhood I had between what my mother and later my sister were doing for a living, and my Father being a member of one of the most feared Biker clubs in this state, It could make for a interesting series to say the least. I tell my kids stories of things I have seen and things I have been through in my growing up in such a crazy family. And I believe I am the one who remembers the most of anyone in my family. In the small town we lived in, everyone knew who my Mother was and what she did, and my Sister had a rep for being the town Whore before drug dealing. Then my Mother thought it would be fun to sleep around like my Sister. I think because she hated the fact that my Sister could get more men then she could, after all they both slept with a few of the same guys. My brothers and I just wanted to be sure no one forgot to feed us. This was when I was about 14 yrs old, until I was 19 when I got married. And I have said nothing about the years before that, about my Father and what he put us through. Lots of seasons worth.
