Could any other actress have been cast in the role of Nancy? It may be due to the fact that I've been watching Weeds since the first season, but I cannot imagine any other actress playing the role of Nancy Botwin as well as Mary-Louise Parker. Her dynamic with every other cast member is remarkable. I don't think anyone could convey both the vulnerability and toughness that Mary-Louise brings to the role. It wouldn't be the same show with another actress playing the part. Can anyone think of another actress that would play Nancy as well as Mary-Louise Parker?
