Good point! As funny as he is, Doug is really representing people that allow substances to damage their personal relationships and careers. But I dont think that he is a statement on the part of the show.... just one example of how it can go.

Reguardless, she is delightfully awesome and the weight gain doesn't lessen any of that, she's still amazingly fabulous and remarkably perfect for this part. It actually ads to how her life has been out of control with prison and all.

So did everyone except me forget about Celia and Dean's other daughter Quinn? The one who was dating Silas and was sent away to boarding school in the first episode? What happened to her? Shouldn't she have come back when her dad was in the motorcycle accident? Or for her parent's divorce? Or when her mom found out she had cancer? She just disappeared!
For some reason this bugs the heck out of me....anyone else??

I miss Conrad and Heylia back also. Even though I still watch Weeds faithfully...I still want to see the people who helped make the show what it is today. Also the relationship between Nancy and Conred was left unfinished.

I totally relate to Nancy's dilemna with Silas....although i dont sell and never have, i am pro choice regarding marijuana use for adults.....however, I'm very uneasy re: my almost 17 year old son telling me he smokes and will continue to despite my wishes! Should I teach him about responsible use and the dangers of addiction, or is this implicitly condoning cannabis use in under age persons?
Can anyone else relate????

Continued...680 characters...pffft. I would be upset like I said because I know the dangers of alcohol and the addictive properties of cigarettes. I also know the truth about marijuana and would much rather sit down and smoke with my child and explain the truth about Gods gift to humanity which has been wrongfully demonized. He is you child though and so the decision is ultimately yours, but in reality it is his as well. It took my mother a while to understand, but being lied to your whole life is not something that you get over in one night. It took her up until last year...I actually have the show to thank for helping her see how we really are. She knew how I was, but she liked to compare weed to heroin, crack, etc (the government was effective with her brainwashing). Now she is a member of NORML like I am and is learning more and more everyday :) I suggest doing some research before having a serious conversation with your son. Just let him know to be careful with law enforcement since they are a bigger threat than the plant he is enjoying :) I hope I was a little help, and if you'd like...I'm available to talk with you if you like...we are a caring community trying to spread the truth and decriminalize this beautiful and miraculous herb..take care.
