Discussion: Weeds season 5

"Hmmm.. this is getting good. there is a solid trust connection with Andy and Nancy. thought that a while back... the presumption that there was an 'unshown' sexual encounter is an interesting thought... not an impossibily (anythings possible in hollywood hey?) yes, perhaps they had "conceived" pardon the pun a plan that night in the bath tub... in more ways than just talking about it. We never actually heard the conversation wholley in the tub - we just know that Nancy laid it all out - who she was with, her vicious web, the prediciment and danger she AND the family were in just by being involved AND her ideas prbably on how she was going to shut down the sex slave raquet.... Remember all we heard were the bits about "black and white" decisions... ee some renovation work!"

"I agree Celia is integral. She's demonstrates the facade of self-conscious behaviour. She was beautiful once, had a great daughter and husband but for Celia, the grass (pardon the pun) was always greener on the other side. The more she despised what she had, the more of a spiral she went into. Remember how she craved Nancy's friendship to the point of insanity... the woman managed to push everyone away because of her pre-conceived ideas of what was 'right'. Having an overweight daughter, having a geeky husband embarressed her but it was all to her detriment... Her lack of contentment drove her into the spiral we saw at the end... addiction and hate for everyone and everything around her. Nancy on the other hand, accepted the non-conventional life, wasn't critical of everything, went with the flow and things got tough, she knew her limits and what had to be done. I think Celia shows the opposite end of contentment with Nancy and her bitchiness was a self-loathing and aggression that others were content.... She just couldnt get there herself and it drove her mad!

I think Nancy has a soft spot for Celia and she will rescue her from a fate worse than hell. Nancy has this amazing ability to deal with every situation in a calculated way to progress forward... and the more contacts she has that RESPECT her, the further she's go. I can't see a baby in the next episodes - I mean how much fun is is going to be watching her breast feed! I think she lost the baby and she'll have something over Esteban which will make them mutally happy to go their separate ways... or Estaban is killed and she cleans up the trafficiing along with her respected Mexican workshop mates because they fear her contacts with the American DEA.

It's too long to wait! Happy new year everyone... btw..
