Is Doug Dead?

What was up with that scene with him jacking off with his head in a noose? At first i thought he might be suicidal, then the "mood" changed to upbeat, so now i'm a little confused. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Sorry to be blunt, but you must be retarded...... It's called autoerotic asphyxiation. People beat off or have sex while cutting off their oxygen because it turns them on, and when you regain oxygen, you feel a high with the combination of an orgasm is why people do it. The scene was real dramatic and was supposed to make you think he was going to kill himself because it seemed so unlike Doug to do something like that, and then they panned out and showed him naked beating it to be hilarious because you realize that Doug isn't like that. It was dark humor at its best. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The scene is an allusion to the suicide of the character Brooks in the movie Shawshank Redemption. Even the monologue is pretty similar. It's a great flick, I'd recommend it. I thought Weeds spoof of it was pretty hilarious 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I saw Shawshank Redemption a few times and I didn't connect the two. I'm not even sure which scene we are talking about? Is it where Brooks was released from prison and in his room hung himself after writing on the wall "Brooks was here" ? I was thinking that Doug was masterbaiting with a noose around his neck on a chair which is a real thing that people die from all the time. It seems really warped to me that it would be a turn on to be masterbaiting while in a noose around your neck on a chair that could easily flip and Doug has that type of idiotic personality where he'd do anything for a cheap thrill! He would be the type to try that! LOL! Do you find this valuable?

It is really warped that Doug's character (or anyone) would be that "far out there", but I read a warning for teens article about how many people die that way. Do you find this valuable?
